Robotic-assited Repair Of A Large Bochdelak Hernia

BACKGROUND: 43 year old female who presented with symptoms of pain in the right upper quadrant, dysphagia, and difficulty sleeping. Patient was found to have a large right-sided Bochdalek hernia on CT scan
METHODS: Patient underwent a Robotic-assisted Bochadalek hernia repair with mesh
RESULTS: Patient had a satisfactory postoperative course with discharge home on postoperative day 2.
CONCLUSIONS: Robotic assisted repair of Bochadalek hernias is a effective method to treating large hernias.
