BACKGROUND: Mitral valve replacement in high-risk patients present a big challenge for cardiac surgeon due to the poor outcome. We present our center experience in tendyne valve transcatheter mitral valve implantation (TMVI). METHODS: We evaluated our center experience and outcome in tendyne valve transcatheter mitral valve implantation (TMVI). January 2021 until December 2021, a total of 6 patients were identified. All patients had severe MR with a mean age was 56 ± 20 years and mean LVEF was 40%± 10 %. The Average EuroSCORE was 6.3%± 3%, patients had an average follow-up of 3 months.RESULTS: Intra-operatively patient had no conversion to sternotomy with no residual MR, no paravalvular leak no LVOTO. No in-hospital mortality, mean ICU stay 2 ± 1 day (d), and length of stay (LOS) 5± 1d. .3 months follow up showed functional class NYHA I in 83% (n=5)II in 17%(n=1), Echo finding showed no residual MR.
CONCLUSIONS: Our experience in tendyne valve transcatheter mitral valve implantation (TMVI) . in selected patients is feasible, associated with good early outcomes.
