Descending Thoracic Aorta Repair With Minimally Invasive Approach

For open repair of descending thoracic aortic aneurysm, extended thoracotomy has been widely used. However, this technique has several drawbacks such as bone bleeding, damage on thoracic muscles, and excessive pain. Here we present our recent experience on muscle saving technique with limited skin incision for descending thoracic aortic repair.
