Background: Mitral valve repair in fully endoscopic settings is growing in interest. Many groups have reported their results using different type of endoscopic settings. We aimed to analyse whenever 3D (three dimensional) endoscopy make difference in terms of intervention time, cardio-pulmonary bypass time and aortic cross clamping time. Methods: Between Jul 2015 and Dec 2017, 145 consecutive patients underwent mitral repair in fully endoscopic setup. Mean age was 60.3 ± 12.9; 69 % were male. We had 19 cases with 3D endoscopy and 126 2D cases. Results: In-hospital mortality was 0 %.In 3D group theIntervention time was redued by 25 minutes (p=0.019). After propensity score matching we had 16 patients in each gourp. In propensity score matched population the effect of time reducion was consistend in 3D gourp (37 minutes reduction, p = 0.013). Conclusions: Three dimentional endoscopic system can reduse the intervention time as much as half an hour. The use of 3D is safe and reproducable.
