OBJECTIVE: The objective of this video was to show "how to" treat extensive aortic pathologies through an hybrid approach (Lupiae Technique).
METHODS: An 83-year-old lady, affected with Mega Aortic Syndrome Type 1 (dilatation up to coeliac trunk), was treated with Lupiae Technique, an hybrid thoraco-abdominal aneurysm repair: ascending aorta and aortic arch replacement with a multi-branched prothesis plus epiaortic vessels debranching followed by endovascular prothesis implantation in the thoracic aorta.
RESULTS: After the endovascular stage, perfect exclusion of the thoraco-abdominal aneurysm was achieved.
CONCLUSIONS: Lupiae Technique is a safe and feasible technique to achieve complete exclusion of thoraco-abdominal aneurysms
