To be held at the Medtronic Training Facility in Istanbul, Turkey on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, the day before ISMICS 2025 begins.

The International Society for Minimally Invasive Cardiothoracic Surgery is delighted to announce a special Training and Travel Award Opportunity for ISMICS Early Career Members. Young ISMICS members who are attending our Annual Scientific Meeting in Istanbul are eligible to apply for this prestigious award. The Award is to be used for you to attend a focused one-day hands on training at the Medtronic Training Facility in Istanbul, Turkey the day prior to the start of the ISMICS 2025 Annual Scientific Meeting.

The award includes:

1. A $1600 Travel Stipend
2. Full Complimentary ISMICS Annual Meeting Registration (value of $325 to $1250 depending on candidate/young surgeon status).
3. A full day of Hands-On Simulation and Training at the Medtronic Training Facility in Istanbul on Tuesday, May 27, 2025

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicant must be an ISMICS member in good standing
• Applicant must attend the ISMICS 2025 Annual Scientific Meeting in Istanbul May 28 to 31, 2025
• Applicant must be a young Member of ISMICS (Resident/Fellow, Candidate or early career Surgeon within 5 years of final degree)
• Applicant must submit an identification letter from their Program Chief of Program
